Posto 9 Gastropub – A culinary Experience

Exploring charming towns over the weekend is one of my favorite pastimes! This weekend I visited Lakeland, FL, which is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando. The best part about this short getaway was the culinary experience at Posto 9, a Brazilian gastropub.

Posto 9 recently opened and continues to awe its visitors. The Brazilian gastropub brings an authentic flair to the area and you will certainly consider it a culinary experience. On top of it’s unique and scrumptious menu, the ambiance is eloquent and features paintings from the renowned artist Romero Brito.

There is also a rooftop that has it’s own menu and drink specials! It’s a great place to go hangout, have drinks and enjoy the view.

The menu is not typical and you should expect a culinary experience, not a quick regular meal. Below are some of the different menu items I tried. This was a mix from the brunch and dinner menu!

Chicken and waffle – This is not the usual chicken & waffle, it is actually made with Brazilian authentic “pao de queijo” (cheese bread) and Bahia spiced fried chicken. The red sauce is a guava ketchup & bacon salt. Yum, this was my favorite!

The Certified Angus Beef Tomahawk 28oz was served with truffle oil French fries, so good!

The croque madame; ham and cheese sandwich topped with béchamel sauce, served with a gratin of Manchego and white cheddar cheese & a sunny side up egg

Desserts, oh-em-gee, seriously so incredible! The first two pictures are the chocolate bombom; chocolate brownie, sweet farofa cashew butter, chocolate ganache.

The tropical sun; passion fruit curd, coconut white chocolate mousse, guava coulis & toasted coconut

To top it off, a delicious shot of espresso.

If you are ever in the central Florida area, don’t forget to stop by this culinary destination that is inspired by the bright and exciting flavors of Brazil. It will be worth it!
