Nothing has ever been a constant line in Bela and Vikki’s life except for their friendship. Moving with their families from city to city, state to state, and even country to country, Bela and Vikki have been together since babies in Brazil and have followed each other everywhere since then.
More family than friends at this point, when high school graduation came and gone, they finally split up. Vikki ended up back in Florida and Bela went off to New York. However, a friendship like that doesn’t just fade.
Language barriers and culture shock are probably not what normal best friends go through together, but the one characteristic they’ve always shared is ambition.
This common characteristic lead to the creation of Blogging Blondes. Bela and Vikki’s mission is to inspire women in today’s world, allowing each person to realize that no matter their background, life struggles, or current circumstance, they can become anyone they set their hearts to be.
Blogging Blondes is a combination of posts related to both cities, health, fitness, travel, beauty and women empowerment. Together they overcame barriers and believe that uniting and embracing women can make a difference in today’s world.
Taking advantage of opportunities is a specialty of mine. I’m a fresh new graduate from Hofstra University with a degree in public relations, and by the time I was a senior in college, I had eight internships.
If you asked me where I thought I would be working a year ago, I would’ve said the entertainment industry. With company names like Cosmo magazine, NBC, Fox, and Paramount Studios on my resume, it seemed like an obvious career path. However, since life has a funny way of knowing what’s best for you, I ended up in the exciting world of…finance, as a communication coordinator.
Putting aside all the serious stuff, if I’m not at work, you can probably find me trying new ice cream shops around the city, spending a lot of money at Sephora, or taking pictures of sunsets at Battery Park.
I have been “adulting” for a little bit more than Bela as I graduated college in three years. I double majored with honors in Hospitality Management & Sales and Marketing and have had an extensive resume in the Hospitality industry since the age of fifteen. As life is full of surprises, I recently left the Hospitality industry to pursue an entrepreneurial dream and am a strong believer that “the best is yet to come.”
When I was eight years old, I imagined that by 22 I would be married and with a baby. Well, that is definitely not where my life is at today, but that’s ok! On my free time, you’ll most likely find me squeezing in a workout, enjoying what Miami has to offer, and most definitely planning my next trip!
Life is truly what you make it, and I choose to make the most out of it.
